Author Event: Biographer of Kathleen Connolly
A hundred years after the first women won the right to vote, this event explores the contribution of the socialist suffragette Sylvia Pankhurst.  Katherine Connelly, author of Sylvia Pankhurst: Suffragette, Socialist and Scourge of Empire, tells the inspiring story of Pankhurst’s creation of a militant mass movement of working-class suffragettes in East London, the huge campaigns they organised and the impact they had.
