The Modern Suffragette

Inspired by the photographs of Suffragette and photographer Norah Smyth, 7 women from London have produced images around the theme of ‘What would the Suffragettes have photographed today?’ Learning to use analogue cameras and traditional black and white darkroom techniques, the group have taken and printed their own photographs for exhibition at Idea Store Bow.

National Share-A-Story Month is an annual celebration of the power of storytelling and story sharing. The theme for May 2019 is Travelling Tales and you will have the opportunity to create a story that involves any sort of travel, from the usual trains and boats and planes, to journeys through time and space. You will then be able to create your very own book.
