1936. A'Country holiday fund' holiday for East End children. Left to right: Rose Ruggles, aged 13; Laura Long (from Deptford), and Marie Allen, who lived in Conway House, Cahir Street. The children saved sixpence a week through the school, and paid seven shilling and sixpence to go away and stay for a week with a family in the country.
