Pilates is an exercise system that focuses on stretching and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscle-strength, flexibility and posture and is used by many professional dancers as an effective form of recovery after injury and for injury prevention. Professional dancers also incorporate Pilates in their routine training, to maximise whole-body co-ordination and develop strength for dynamic movement.

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. Yoga brings balance to the body; it lengthens tight muscles, strengthens weak spots, opens the hips and improves balance.Yoga also centres the mind within the body: combined mental and physical presence is beneficial for developing dance and performance skills
