Access for residents

If you are a resident of Tower Hamlets you can visit the Tower of London for £1! To take advantage of this special offer

  • bring your Idea Store or Tower Hamlets Library card
  • bring proof of name and address e.g. a utility bill or bank statement, to prove you are a resident.

Then you can explore all the delights the Tower of London has to offer for a pound.

The offer is valid all year round. Only one ticket per adult cardholder can be purchased per day.

Adults can purchase extra tickets for additional children for £1. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets can only be purchased on the day from the ticket office at The Tower of London.

They are now operating with timeslots with a limited capacity. If a timeslot is full, you will go in the next available timeslot.

Years of history

The Tower of London captures a thousand years of history. It holds tales of eight thousand prisoners, ten executions and sixty attempted escapes.

It houses 23,578 gems and the 105 carat Koh-i-Noor diamond. These are just a few examples of the marvels of the Tower of London waiting for you to see.

Getting there and accessibility

  • The nearest Tube is Tower Hill on the District and Circle Lines.
  • The nearest Docklands Light Railway station is Tower Gateway
  • The nearest Train stations are Fenchurch Street and London Bridge. Buses 15, 25, 42, 78, 100 and N15 stop outside the Tower of London.

What provisions are there for people with disabilities?
