We are delivering some of our courses in classrooms and some online. The majority of courses are run at the Shadwell Centre which have fully equipped studios to support your learning.
Photography
The photography course ‘trilogy’ is set up to give you a great learning experience and foundation in photography. The trilogy covers the following programmes: Introduction to Basic Digital Photography, Learn Creative Digital Photography and Creative Digital Photography Intermediate. These courses are designed to progress your confidence, understanding and knowledge of photography in three easy stages.
Visual Arts
Whether you are new to visual arts or have some experience, we have a range of courses for you in which you will enjoy learning.
It may be learning to paint for the first time or you may be renewing your skills, wanting to make your own prints, ceramics, visualise your interior design ideas or develop your creative writing we have a course for you.
We even have a course to help you use social media to promote what you do. You will be taught to use a range of excellent resources by our friendly and highly skilled team.
Fashion and Textiles
We offer a broad range of fashion courses aimed at helping you learn and develop skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
You can learn how to use a sewing machine, how to knit, cut a pattern for a garment or make a softly tailored garment. You will be taught to use a range of excellent resources by our friendly and highly skilled fashion team.
Technical and DIY Skills
At Idea Store Learning we offer a range of technical courses aimed at helping you learn or develop technical and DIY skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
The sessions are taught by highly skilled upholstery, woodwork and stained glass practitioners and supported by a range of excellent resources.
Creative Industries Workshops
Workshops are for you to further your work and raise your profile within the creative industries sector. Whether this be through producing work for exhibition, competition or employment. Potentially as a self-employed entrepreneur producing work for sale.
You should have the necessary ambition and drive to largely self-direct your own study and be active in raising your own profile or be pursuing a career within the sector. You should therefore have some experience of your chosen discipline.
Whilst on the course you will develop your existing knowledge and skills through full access to a wide range of specialist equipment together with professional support from a member of staff.
